Creative Triangle was recently commissioned to evolve a brand identity for East Midlands Airport’s 60th anniversary celebration and roll it out across the airport.
The identity needed to resonate with passengers, showcase the history of the airport and demonstrate the pride felt by airport employees as well as the positive impact on the local area.
We applied the brand identity to numerous assets across the airport including lamp post banners, flags, wall vinyls, a-boards, pull ups, fast frame exhibition stands as well as merchandise such as pin-badges, luggage labels, pens and shopper bags. We also created a community engagement board to showcase the airport’s competition for local school children to imagine what flying might look like 60 years in the future.

“This was the first major project Creative Triangle have delivered for us at EMA and it was a truly joyful experience. They captured our vision for the 60th anniversary celebration with step changing designs. The pride and celebratory aspects we feel strongly about were understood and translated into an eclectic mix of branded assets. The processes involved with the installation of branding at an airport are quite rightly challenging, but the team really delivered! The conversations were always very calm working within tight deadlines. Their way of working is supportive, efficient, creative, transparent, and professional. Everyone is very proud and pleased with the outcome.”
