Family art projects and word games for lockdown

The single best thing about lockdown life is that families get far more time together. And sometimes, possibly a bit too much time together. So our contribution to lockdown family life is these two sets of playful, boredom-busting family activities:
A waste of paper: a dozen imaginative artistic activities that encourage children to create (on their own or with friends or parents)
A waste of words: a dozen inventive and sometimes nonsensical word games for children of all ages (to play together or online)
- Both files free to download
- Minimal equipment needed – mostly pencil and paper (some word games need nothing apart from a lively imagination, and a couple of creative projects involve glue – so mostly mess free)
- Brilliant activities for children to play alone, with siblings, with the whole family, or online with friends and relatives
- Could be just what you need to occupy young minds while you crack on with a bit of work
- Documents produced in collaboration with Text Wizard – the layout and design is ours, the words and methods are theirs; both teams contributed ideas
Share and share again
If you know anyone else who’d love to play or create, please forward or share as often as you like.
