We were commissioned to develop the brand identity and guidelines for InFrame, a collaborative project between the University of Glasgow, Edinburgh University, and University of St Andrews, funded by Wellcome Trust.
The project aims to create a new framework for research leadership, recognising that a skilled collegial approach to leadership is critical for the development of supportive and equitable cultures. The new brand identity needed to incorporate the unique identity of each University.
The InFrame logo is a simple square frame divided into three sections, each representing a colour from the universities: burgundy from the University of Glasgow, purple from the University of Edinburgh, red from the University of St Andrews, and the blue being a blend of each university’s blues. We also provided detailed brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms, including: logo variations, clear space and sizing instructions, colour palette, and typography guidelines. Assets such as email footers and Teams backdrops were supplied so the team could use the new identity straight away.
The InFrame Project Manager at University of Glasgow, said:
“The responsive and iterative way Creative Triangle worked with the InFrame project allowed us to test and explore InFrame’s branding at the very infancy of the project. The teams’ understanding of our collaboration, and importance to represent each institution equally, made the process enjoyable and easy.”
