There are many business, ethical and legal reasons for ensuring your digital communications are accessible to all. We help our clients to identify, create and validate better digital experiences through a range of UX creative designs which include usability testing and bespoke research.
We are accessibility experts. It is important to us that we strive to create inclusive, human-centred design that is accessible to as many people as possible.
Accessibility Standards: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
We produce fully WCAG 2.2 compliant online solutions which are accessible to all including alternate text, artifacted decorative images, enabled tagging with logical navigational structure, assistive technology checks, reflow mode checks, passing Acrobat’s Accessibility Checker and the PAC3 Checker for PDF/UA compliance.
We provide the extra service of checking, remediating and testing all online solutions to guarantee compliance to WCAG 2.2.
Examples include fully accessible ESG reports, Annual Reports and Corporate Reporting and we have showcased a few examples below.
Accessible ESG Reporting
Sustainability strategies are no longer optional for many businesses. A combination of regulation, legislation, pressure from stakeholders and customers and a necessity to remain competitive have propelled Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues to the forefront in Boardrooms and to the top of senior leadership mindset.
Manchester Airports Group
We worked hand in hand with Manchester Airports Group (MAG) to develop its 2021/2022 CSR strategy and three summary documents. Each online PDF needed to be fully accessible and WCAG compliant. To support the reports, we also created an impactful social media campaign to promote their CSR activities – creating over 60 assets with varying messages. We also designed and programmed an animation to illustrate how committed MAG are to CSR through a timeline of activity.
Further to the success of the 2022 reports, Creative Triangle have developed MAG’s 2023 CSR report and summaries as well as being asked to design all the Noise Action Plans for all three airports (Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands) and their summary documents.
“Creative Triangle has been a true pleasure to work with from the first stages of obtaining a quote to project completion. The team responded to our brief with detailed design concepts that were tailored to our preference and ensured the on-time delivery of the project.”
Joe Heathcote, ESG Manager at Manchester Airports Group
Accessible Annual Reports
Great results may mean nothing without understanding how they have been achieved. A great annual report is one that communicates both hard and soft benefits alongside the unambiguous and clearly defined financial results. Just because they’re a legal necessity doesn’t mean they have to be boring. Through clever use of accessible design, annual reports can take the reader on an inclusive journey and inspire them.
Sport Wales
Sport Wales, commissioned us to design and artwork their accessible Annual Reports and Accounts 2022-23 in both English and Welsh.
To accurately create four versions of the report rich with complex charts and tables – detailing accounts of National Lottery funding and distribution as well as Welsh Government funding and distribution. With strict milestones, tight deadlines, and the involvement of numerous stakeholders, precision and efficiency were paramount. It was also essential for the reports to be fully accessible, adhering to WCAG accessibility standards.
“This has been the easiest Annual Report production to date thanks to the help of the team at Creative Triangle. Their attention to detail and care for the project has enabled us to bring our organisation’s achievements to life. Their experience with accessible design meant that we had full trust that our deliverables would be met to the quality and timescales agreed.”
Cerys Bowen, Campaign & Events Manager at Sport Wales
Accessible Corporate Reporting
Corporate Reporting needs to be seen as an opportunity to communicate directly with all stakeholders, not just as a compliance exercise. We help develop fully accessible designs for all corporate reporting whether best practice, regulatory or compliance expertise, reports including Gender Pay Gap, ED&I, Privacy Policies, Business Strategies, KPI’s, SOP’s, Policies and Procedures.
National Lottery Heritage Fund
We were commissioned to design and artwork the Heritage Fund’s Business Plan, People Strategy, Delivery Plan and Learning brochure. These accessible documents included infographics, facts and figures, key statistics, compelling imagery and more.
“We’ve worked with Creative Triangle on several projects and have always found the team flexible, creative and reliable. The team are particularly skilled at delivering our briefs for both English and Welsh public-facing reports and have a very good understanding of accessibility – key for what we needed. A really smooth process for our reports from start to finish.”
