Food CSR Report

We were commissioned by the University of Glasgow to design the Food CSR Booklet – Sustainable Catering Review 2024/25. The 48-page publication showcases the University’s achievements and initiatives in sustainable catering, reinforcing the growing identity of the UofG Food brand. The review showcases the University’s progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting its commitment to people, planet, and community. Our brief was to create an engaging and visually distinctive report that communicates sustainability with clarity and creativity.

The challenge:

The University needed to communicate a large volume of information — from sustainability data and supplier details to future commitments — in an engaging way for staff, students and stakeholders. The design had to translate content into clear, inspiring storytelling while remaining aligned with the University’s visual identity. Additionally, the publication needed to elevate the UofG Food brand, establishing it as a recognisable and trusted voice across the entire University community and its wider network of partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

The solution:

We developed a clean design that combined strong photography, bespoke illustrations and infographics to bring the content to life. The narrative was structured around three key themes — Planet, People, and Commitments — creating a logical flow that guided readers through the University’s sustainability story. This approach helped position UofG Food as a leader in sustainable catering and communication within the higher education sector.

The impact:

Business Services Manager, Catering & Events at the University of Glasgow, said:

“Working with Creative Triangle on our first Sustainable Catering Review has been a seamless and rewarding experience. The synergy between our team helped bring the vision to life with both professionalism and creativity. Beth and the team delivered a final product that is informative and engaging to a wide range of audiences including students, staff and external partners. Their adaptability to evolving content and various deadlines was invaluable and the result is a document that the University is proud to share. We look forward to working together for our second Sustainable Catering Review.”
