Universities Partnership

A united brand

Universities Partnership is the collective name for Leicester and Leicestershire’s universities and the city and counties of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This partnership was new and unique, and it needed branding to match. We were there to help give this union a visual identity using our many years of creative design experience.

A booklet titled "A Partnership for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland: Civic University Agreement," showcasing collaborative initiatives in the region.

The challenge:

In the first agreement of its kind, the University of Leicester, De Montfort University and Loughborough University have committed to work together with local councils to drive economic growth and tackle social challenges across Leicestershire and Rutland. We were tasked with helping with the partnership’s branding and marketing by developing a logo for the newly created organisation.

A close-up of the Universities Partnership logo, featuring red and purple curved elements. Social media posts from Universities Partnership, featuring quotes and images on mobile device screens. An open booklet showcasing themes including Health, Sustainability, and Arts and Culture. A circular design composed of intersecting white circles on a grey background, representing the Universities Partnership logo.

The solution:

Creative Triangle have developed a logo which equally aligns with all three of the universities’ brands and represents their commitment to the Partnership. To compliment the logo, we have designed an introduction brochure that outlines the Agreement, the key themes and how the universities will work in collaboration.

It was a privilege to work with such an exciting and unique partnership, and we are extremely happy with the results! We were able to create a logo that matches the Universities Partnership’s vision, and set their branding off on the right path.

The impact:

Deputy Director for Digital Engagement at University of Leicester said:
“Creative Triangle’s approach provided clear, concise and innovative options which exceeded the brief. They are easy to work with, responsive to requests and communicative. The new brand has been embedded and engaged with extremely well with a large range of stakeholders.”
